Good Shepherd School, Sivakasi

A School is a place enhancing learning and joy, combining knowledge and lessons of life for an enriched tomorrow. Today’s schooling is not all about books and classes; It is about creating educated Human beings and developing civilized, social literate and successful citizens of the future which is the ultimate goal. Good Shepherd schools have been pursuing this since its establishment especially towards students from downtrodden and underprivileged community.

Good Shepherd School was founded in 1999. It started with 53 students and 4 staff.  The school has gradually developed over the years.  Now The school has 17 classes commencing with the L.K.G to X STD.  It grew in the name of Good shepherd Matric School. The Present Strength of the school is 542 and 29 staff. We got state third in the year 2013 -2014 for X std board Examination. So far, we have sent 12 Batches for Board Examination. We showed 100% result every year. Most of the students got more than 90%. Our students got centum in Mathematics, Science and History.

Good Shepherd  School strives at moulding minds to carry this quest: For the creation of a just and equitable social order for the creation of a sustainable global society founded on respect for nature, universal human rights, economic justice and a culture of peace. To provide our students with an outstanding education environment that is enjoyable, safe, happy, caring, sustainable and stimulating. 

The school aims at an education, which is Person-oriented, social , professional or work-oriented. Broadly speaking, it imparts training, which is National in character, and International in outlook towards the achievement of Universal Brotherhood.

It prepares the student for life, develops the qualities of the mind, the heart, and the skills and attitudes which enable him/ her to cope with the demands of future life, and to be concerned and contributing member of the society and of the Nation.
